Stealing Spielberg – Script / Screenplay

A prison inmate who happens to resembles Steven Spielberg spends 20 years behind bars studying the film director. Once released from prison, the felon and his partners in crime then begin to put their plan to work.

“Stealing Spielberg” is written along the lines of a 1948 films “Hollow Triumph” where a released prison inmate impersonates a famous psychiatrist. In my screenplay, a prisoner who happens to resemble Spielberg spends 20 years behind bars studying the film director. Once released from prison, the felon and his partners in crime then begin to put their plan to use.

Creative notes: Of course I know the weight of Steven Spielberg and I don’t think he will be upset. He might even get a laugh or two from the script. Mr. Spielberg is an artist, just as a lot of us are. He is a cultural icon and this is really no skin off his back. It is done totally in good taste. And, they say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Just read the script and you won’t be so angry.

Rainstorm – Script / Screenplay

A heart wrenching inter racial love story between a young white Australian girl and an Indian orphan.

The drama unfolds in Fiji in a Catholic Orphanage which is run on an austere, strictly religious basis by authoritarian nuns. The pupils are brainwashed into believing that the only way to redemption is to become a nun or priest. Hungry pupils rob the church of wine and communion wafers; some steal a few shillings from collection plates to satisfy their hunger and complement their meager food rations. Confessions to the priest are dispersed with lies in fear of reprisals and beatings from frustrated nuns.

Pupils are constantly reminded never to think about girls, as this will only lead them into temptation and committing the sins of the flesh. Regular checks of bed linens are made for signs of semen stains, and severe punishments are authorized should any stains be found. During evening showers boys are secretly watched by nuns, and if caught masturbating, they are severely beaten.

A tender love affair develops between Susan and Christopher, but it is forcefully ended by the nuns and Chris is forced to flee the orphanage, the only home he has ever known, to make a life for himself in the outside world. Susan is punished for kissing and helping Chris to escape. She is dragged into the wash house, pinned down on the floor by two nuns before soap is rubbed on her tongue by the head nun. Her beautiful blond hair is cropped and shaved by an old fashion razor.

In the meantime Chris is lured into the boxing ring to earn his fare to London fast to start a new life with Susan but that never happens, the nuns have planned a totally different life for Susan to keep her apart from Chris forever.

Unknown to Chris and after being brainwashed by the nuns, Susan is sent to Ireland to become a nun and return to Fiji, caring for the sick in Fiji’s leper colony of Makogai. On her journey to the colony she accidentally meets with her young lover Chris on the quayside during a terrible rainstorm. Her nun’s habit is covered by her long raincoat and a hood — Chris still has no idea that she is a nun. He is confused and upset when he learns of her decision to work with the lepers, being fully aware of the dangers she is exposing herself to. With mixed emotions, she is forced to choose between her love of God and the Indian boy and now must stand by her vows.

The rainstorm worsens and the voyage is cancelled. Susan is persuaded to go back to Chris’s hotel room until it is safe to sail. She enters his hotel room still dressed in the raincoat and hood. Chris demands an explanation as to why she did not keep in touch with him. Eventually she reveals her nun’s habit and Chris is devastated to find out the truth. Unable to change her mind, she leaves only to face a tragic end.

Chris eventually makes it to London alone and after earning enough cash he heads back to Fiji and the island of Mokagai to find Susan but discovers that after working with lepers for 16 years Susan had severely suffered by catching leprosy herself and has died a gruesome death. Chris is seen weeping on her grave.

Creative notes: This screenplay has been adapted from my book titled RETURNED TO DEVIL’S ISLAND. This the basic story that needs a professional screenwriter to tweak dialogue and enhance drama to suit. It is also a prizefighter’s first love lost and found and lost again and also his struggle to reach England, the mother country.

An award-winning Indian director/cinematographer and an English producer have short-listed the script to be filmed on location in either Fiji or Mauritius when funding is in place.

Skin Privileges – Script / Screenplay

A man strapped with a C-4 vest and some henchmen take a Detroit police station hostage, streaming it live, threatening to kill the officers in the building, unless one officer tells the truth about his crime, along with explaining the difference between black and white people.

Synopsis: “SKIN PRIVILEGES” is a story about Tyreka Combs. The daughter of Howard Combs, a franchise deli shop-owner in Detroit, Michigan. On the night of Sunday service, she barely escapes from being raped by her Reverend Dwayne Hill. Running from the church, she comes to a stop when her phone rings. Answering her phone, she begins explaining what almost transpired, and the searchlight from a squad car is shinned on her. Detective Stanton Wells tells her to come over to the car. She walks over prepared to tell her story, and before she can get her words out, he sprays her in the face with mace. Stanton quickly gets out grabbing her, placing her in the backseat.

As Stanton, Norman Yates the police captain, and Dwayne drive off. Dwayne is in the backseat beating Tyreka until she goes unconscious. Stanton asks Dwayne. “Where do you wanna do this?”. Dwayne replies, “At the roundup”. Norman says, “I’m amazed. You’re the only nigger allowed in.” Without feeling shamed by what Norman said, Dwayne says, “I’m allowed in, because I bring money and hoes. The keys to you crackers heart.” The three laugh. Dwayne feels on her breast, grabbing the phone, pulling it from her shirt pocket. He becomes nervous, telling Stanton and Norman she has someone on the phone. Norman replies, “Who cares? The mayor is one of my good friends, and I’m the captain. She was on the phone with some dumb nigger trying to fuck anyway. Hang up.”.

A month after the death of Tyreka’s viscous rape, beating and murder. One by one, Dwayne, the mayor Jeffery Tines and Norman are abducted, being held hostage. Cai “Pronounced Say” comes into the the police station wearing a full-length black leather coat, carrying a laptop in his left hand, while his right hand stays in his coat pocket. Approaching the front desk, he places the laptop down, and the officer behind the desk, Simmons asks, “How can I help you?” Cai replies, “Can you help yourself, the remaining officers in the building, and detective Stanton?”. Cai prepares to open his coat, and Simmons quickly stands up taking aim on him, and the other officers in the building focus on Cai, taking aim as well. Stanton comes running from his office, and Cai tells Stanton have Simmons frisk him, before the situation gets worse. Stanton gives the okay, and Simmons opens his coat, stepping back in fear, staring at the vest strapped with C-4 and hand grenades.

Cai asks Simmons, “Do you have any children?”. Simmons replies, “No.”, and Cai says, “Then you won’t be missed.” One of the officers takes aim on Simmons blowing his brains out. Stanton goes to reach for his gun, and the other officers take aim on him. Stanton places his hands in the air. Cai pulls out a walkie talkie, telling the rest of his crew to lock the building down. AJ, Vincent and Xavier come from the basement. AJ and Xavier walk over to Cai, while Vincent goes over to Stanton taking his gun.

Cai tells AJ and Vincent to help the other men barricade the doors and windows. Cai then focuses his attention on Stanton, telling him they should have this conversation in his office. Vincent walks Stanton into his office at gun point, while Cai grabs his laptop, and then makes his way into the office.

From there, Cai streams a video of the three he has captured on the news and internet, telling the police to call off the search, because they’ll never find them, and their lives rests in the hands of Stanton. After the video is finished streaming, he angles the laptop so him and Stanton are on the screen, streaming their conversation live, telling officers as well as citizens of Detroit to come to the police station.

Police officers are outside prepared to charge in, and the citizens outside some for Cai and others against him, are protesting. The conversation between Cai and Stanton gets thick, and one of Cai’s men has a hidden agenda that will soon be revealed. Stanton has to speak the right words, before not only the three Cai has hostage are killed…everyone in the building can possibly die.

Sebastian confronts Douglass about feeding the slaves, and Douglass stands firm by his actions. His father pistol-whips him, knocking him to the floor, and then signals for one of the men to place a noose around his neck. The slave talking to Douglass tries to help, and Sebastian shoots him in the head. The men prop Douglass against the table, and Sebastian takes Douglass right hand placing it on the table, slamming a fork into it, alternating doing his left hand the same.

Sebastian pistol-whips him some more, and then walks over to one of the men taking a machete from him. He comes back to Douglass, telling him, “Burn in hell, nigger lover.”. Douglass looks up with a smile, and before he can get his words out, Sebastian decapitates him. The men begin slaughtering the slaves, while Douglass body stands in spirit form watching the onslaught. A light omits from the ring absorbing his spirit in.

Standing at heaven’s gate is his great-grandmother. His spirit appears, and she tells him come home. Confused about his death. Douglass says “I thought God watches over those who do good?”. She tells him he does, and this is his reward for his good deeds. Outraged, Douglass curses God, vowing he’ll over-throw heaven, when his soul merges with a woman who has a pure soul, when she places the ring on he was murdered in. Banished to hell, his flesh is skinned with rusty razors, as he laughs.

The year is now, 1990. A woman named Chrissy is on her knees covered in dirt and sweat, dressed in a torn nightgown in a dim room laced with mist. Ghoulish creatures are prowling on the walls. Slowly standing to her feet, she shouts in triumph, “I beat you!”. A demonic laughter cuts through the darkness, followed by the words of the Beast saying, “Do you really think you can defeat me?”. The creatures crawl off into the darkness, and just as Chrissy prepares to speak, a arm made of black liquid lunges from the darkness, grabbing her by the throat, pulling her in.

She struggles to get free, as her hands slide through the liquid. Her eyes lock with the white eyes with blue souls circulating through them. The Beast says, “The only God, is me!” The Beast releases a loud growl, slamming her to the floor, and the room turns white. She’s on her knees hacking. Not far from her is the stretched out body of her husband Larry in a pool of blood, with claw marks in his back. She inches over towards him, holding him in her arms sobbing. A tear falls on his face, and he wakes up. Confused where they are, he asks, “What happened?”. She tells him it doesn’t matter. Standing to her feet, she helps him stand, and they begin walking off.

He stops walking and she turns looking at him. He asks her about a threesome when they get home, and she scoffs denying him, implying her religion doesn’t condone such acts. He pulls her in a tight hug, trying to persuade her. The walls crack, and blood slowly drips in. The floor turns into disemboweled bodies, grabbing at her legs. His back spreads open, and black liquid starts pouring out. She struggles to break his hold, and in the voice of the Beast, he says, “If you love me bitch, you’ll do it.”.

She gasps, realizing she’s being held by the Beast. The Beast body is a tall black liquid mass, with scattered human remains throughout the body. The head is half demon and human decomposing flesh, with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, dripping saliva and blood. The arms lift her up, so they can look eye to eye. The Beast says, “Join me now, or spend eternity in hell.”. Declining the offer, a loud bell goes off, and the walls break open, spilling blood and organs. The bodies on the floor rise, spilling their insides. A pair or rotted human arms lunge from the Beast body going through her chest, coming out the back, spilling her insides. The hands latch hold to each side, pulling her a part. The room fills with blood and organs, fading to black.
The year is now, 2016. Samantha is standing in her collection room filled with her artwork, staring at a blank canvas. Her husband Cassidy comes into the room walking over to her. He asks her are they having the party tonight, celebrating another one of her paintings sold. She replies, “Yes.”. He gives her a kiss prepared to leave the room, and then he pauses making his way back to her, telling her to close her eyes. She closes her eyes, and he pulls out a ring box. He tells her open your eyes, and her expression shows she’s not impressed. He laughs, telling her to open it. She opens the box, and her mouth drops in awe, staring at Douglass ring.

She asks where did he get the ring, and he tells her, he stopped at a antique shop, and the man who sold him the ring, was trying to tell him the legend behind it. She asks about the legend, and he gives her a half story, only wanting her to try the ring on. She places the ring on her right hand, and then gives him a kiss. He tells her “I’m about to go get the stuff for the party.”. He walks out, and she continues smiling, turning back to look at the blank canvas.

The night of the party, Bill, Eddie, Tracy, Brenda, Brad, Ted and Cassidy’s ex Tiffany are in the dinning room, waiting for Samantha and Cassidy to come into the room. Cassidy comes in drunk, and Tiffany tries persuading him into the hallway. Samantha comes disrupting their conversation. Tiffany stares Samantha down, and Samantha brushes her off, walking to the fireplace prepared to speak. Tiffany is running off at the mouth provoking Samantha. Samantha walks over to her, grabbing her by the collar, and Cassidy tries breaking them up. The lights flicker on and off, as the ring throbs.

Everyone stops what they’re doing, paying attention to the lights. Tiffany says one more smart remark, and Samantha slaps her with her right hand. As soon as her palm touches her face, black smoke comes rushing out the ring, filling the room. Everyone gasps falling to the floor unconscious. When they awake, unaware of what happened, carrying on with life. One by one, their inner desires and deceit leads to their death by the Beast. Samantha has dreams of each death, while the Beast shows her why he became what he is. Cassidy is trying to save Samantha’s soul before she merges with the Beast, but his valiant effort will possibly fail in the end.

Represent – Script / Screenplay

Between preventing his younger sister from joining the “Bloods” and stopping his friends who are “Crips” from killing her. Chris has to make life changing decisions, before his sister ends up dead, and he gets deep in the gang world.

Synopsis: “REPRESENT” is based on some true events. The story revolves around Chris. A teenager aiming to finish the last few weeks of school, while watching over his sister. One night, Chris is riding around Detroit, with his friend Clip. Clip is frustrated his fellow Crip member was murdered by a rival Blood. Chris is sympathetic to his anger, but he’s confused at the fact they’re on the West Side. Clip tells him, one of the people involved in the murder lives in the area.

From confused to worried. Chris questions Clip about killing the person, while he’s in the car. Clip pulls over across the street from a liquor store, and then places a blue bandanna around his face, before placing a Desert eagle on his lap. Chris tries to stop him, but Clip gets out, making his way across the street to the store.

Brandon is inside the store grabbing some beers, unaware Clip is in the store. Brandon gets to the counter placing his beers down, and Clip runs over hitting him in the mouth. The two begin fighting, putting on a good show, until Brandon grabs one of the beers hitting Clip over the head, causing him to fall to one knee. Brandon makes his way out the store, and Clip gains his focus chasing after him.

Brandon is running for his car, when Clip comes out pulling the Desert eagle out, shooting him in the back. While Brandon is on the ground, Clip runs over flipping him over. Clip has a few select words. Brandon laughs prepared to respond, and Clip shoots him once in the head, and four times in the chest.

Clip runs back to the car, and before he can get in closing the door good, Chris is already flying down the street. From that point on, Chris life takes a downward spiral. He gets jumped in the bathroom by Tony and some other Bloods, because of the comment he made in class about Brandon’s murder. His sister Tasha is trying to date Tony, and join the Bloods. Clip and the rest of the Crips are out to kill Tasha, as well as Tony. Chris has to make some life changing decisions before Tasha ends up dead, and he gets deep into the gang world.

Creative notes: I based the script on true incidents in my life, because I feel it’s young people out here in the world who believe once they’re in a gang, they’re untouchable, and that’s far from true. So, instead of showing one side of what a gang is. I felt I should display the bad that comes along with it, to give a person something to think on, before picking up a flag to represent something.
