An experienced detective, after a brief love affair with a young girl, is leading a successful investigation of a serial murder case, at the end of which he becomes a criminal himself.
Investigator Robert Clark (45) is not feeling well; he is tired of his stressing job and drinks a lot. He starts investigating the murder of a wealthy businessman Dan Harrison. It turns out that the killer (Elvis) had a long conversation with Dan, drank good wine with him and then, for some reason, shot the owner and left, taking only cigarettes, leaving a very expensive brand wrist watch on Dan Harrison’s hand and a lot of money in the safe. The entire investigation team is surprised to find out that a few days ago the same man killed Olivia Gardner, a former lover of Dan Harrison. Some days later Elvis killed Betty Carter, the former mistress of the investigator Robert Clark. Elvis comes to the house of Robert Clark with the intention of killing him, but gets into a psychological trap and commits suicide. Robert realizes that a year ago he got AIDS from Julia, a girl he met by chance on holiday. That he has infected Betty Carter, she has infected Dan Harrison who has infected Olivia Gardner, and she in her turn – infected Elvis. Elvis, who felt the approach of death, wanted revenge and in turn killed the people responsible for his destiny. Robert understands that his days are counted, pulls out his gun and decides to find Julia and to continue Elvis’s job.
