After 13 years working in advertising in Cairo, Egypt, Dastarac worked for five years as a producer and director of development at ZAD Productions. She has produced several documentaries and feature films, including Winter of Discontent, in competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2012. She has also distributed several films internationally.
Since returning to France, Dastarac founded NOWAVE, the first curated SVOD platform made in France that defends culture in film. With the association Arcinéfeel, she produces projects for new talent in the south-west of France.
